Current system:
Modded Antec 900
Q6600 @ 3.7ghz w\ Tuniq 120
IP35-E
EVGA 280 SSC
G.skill 2x2GB DDR2 800 PC2 6400
Corsair HX620W

I am currently looking to upgrade my memory / hard drive's but would like to ask for some suggestions on what I should get. My current problem is that i would like to clock my Q6600 to 3.8ghz but my memory wont support the speed and I would rather not have to relax the timings on the memory for it to work. This of course means i am looking to get new memory. Currently I am looking at getting 4x2GB(so two of one of these sets) :

http://www.newegg.com/Product/...x?Item=N82E16820231098
http://www.newegg.com/Product/...45&Tpk=N82E16820231145

Problem is I need to make sure they will support at least 844mhz so the DRR2 1000 and 1066 are looking good because than maybe I can even lower timings on them a bit if there only running at 844mhz. Suggestions / Ideas on other brands / memory would be appreciated =)

Also I am looking to upgrade my current Seagate 250gb and IDE WD 250gb drives to an 1TB Drive. I am currently looking at :

Thanks for all advice in advance =)

I can say the choice on the hard drive is a good one. There's already been a post from someone else here saying how well they like it. It's supposed to be pretty darn good. Looking at it myself.

The 1TH "Black" is fine, but I'd go with DDR2 that's rated to run at 1.8-1.9v
Memory timing these days have almost no "real world" impact on performance.

Hmmm...between $65 to $120 for 100MHz, plus doubling the amount of memory.

I can see the value in spending half as much to double the memory...but not to spend more just to squeeze another 100MHz, plus dumping off the old sticks. Just doesn't make fiscal sense to me for such a low return, unless you're just looking for bragging rights.

Get the Hard Drive,

because it's way to expensive to upgrade the memory for a few extra mhz.
