???? Maybe I'm misunderstanding you....but why would I want 800MHz rated RAM with a CAS delay of 5? And how would your story about OCing some slower RAM apply to my needs? I'm honestly not trying to be a jerk, I guess I just don't understand what you're getting at.

The issue is between 1066MHz rated with a CAS of 5 vs. 800Mhz rated with a CAS of 3. Also, if anyone has any specfic suggestions for some stuff, that would be cool. Nothing too terribly expensive. Around 100 bucks for 2G is reasonable. I'm not paying 200+ for some freakin RAM.

Kingston N5 RAMs are conservatively rated at 5-5-5-18-2T. These RAMs should run well at 400MHz/4-4-4-12-2T with 1.8Vdimm on many boards. You asked for a little overclocking. So why are looking for CAS 3 DDR2 800? Noobs think that 1066MHz RAMs are better than quality 800.

Core speed is KING. In general, there is little benefit with DDR2 RAMs above 450MHz. Higher speed will require slower timing.
