As strange as this sounds I just don't overclock my systems. I am planning on upgrading from my Skt-754 to an E6550 with an Intel® Desktop Board DG33TL M/B. My question is do I need to get the high quality stuff or just get a generic brand. I do play games but mainly Guitar Hero III, LOTRO, and some EA sports games. For now I am going to stick with my X1850XT card but I plan on upgrading to a 3850/3870 sometime early next year once I have the cash. Also should I get DDR2-800 or DDR2-667?

There's no harm in DDR2 800, and we get it because the price difference is so small (or sometimes negative!), but there's also no benefit to it, without OCing.

Get quality stuff, but not high performance stuff.

P.S. $46.98 shipped! Will DDR2 start bottoming out at some point,or are they trying to ditch it all and then make money hoarding DDR3?
