Memory for the Asus A8V

I called the computer store to day to order some parts. One part was an Asus A8V and another was 2x 512MB Kingston. They told me that they would not have the Kingston in stock until April 1st and said that 2x 512MB was comparable. Which memory do you think would go better with this motherboard? I have put some additional information below. NOTE: I will not be overclocking, overvolting, or gaming. I may, however, choose to underclock and undervolt the CPU to minimize power consumption (and total system noise).

Is patriot as reliable as Kingston? Will it work well with my motherboard? Will the Patriot produce more heat and boost my case temperatures?

at the bottom of the list is RAM that's been tested for that board, others work, but those are 'approved' RAM

I've had consistent bad luck with Kingston. From the Kingston Value RAM, to HyperX, Kingston has given me nothing but headaches.

I haven't used Patriot RAM myself, but a lot of people here seem to like it.

that patriot has very nice timings for the price (assuming its the same as kingston). anyway id go for the patriot. i personally have that kingston valueram and the best i can do is something like 2.5-3-3-7 1T @ 208 fsb :/

I've had good luck with Kingston.

The last 6 computers I've built are using Kingston value stuff, have yet to have a problem, even with my current rig that's OC'd with lower timings.

I'd recommend Patriot over Kingston.
