Memory for Supermicro A1SAM-2750F

imo... i would probably get the kingston...

im not too verse on 1R vs 2R, but i heard 2R's are faster, and have better compatibility.

I found the below link gives an opposite opinion. i.e., lower the rank faster it is:

http://www.oempcworld.com/support/SinglevsDualRAM.html

I also thought 1R was faster because it only had 1 rank to read from, and could not read both ranks on the 2R.

But a friend of mine who is an IT said, in terms of speed, its 2R if you were to lay down 2 separate machines.

*shrug* it again, it does make sense how 1R would be faster being as it could access the entire memory region instead of having to hand off.

Again, i am not well versed in the ranking of ram, i do listen to what my friend tells me.
