Memory for OCing

Hi guys.
I am building this sytem with an Athlon64 3000+ (939) and planning to get a MSI Neo2 Platinum very soon. I plan to OC this from 1.8 to at least 2.4... I am not very familiar with RAM that will get me good results with this... I was looking at Corsair XMS Extreme Memory Speed Series 184 Pin 512MB DDR but i dont know how well it performs when OCing. Is there a noticeble performance difference from 1:1 ratios and lets say 5:4 FSB:RAM ?

I know the best 1 for OC-ing is the OCZ platinum Rev 2 but i think thats kinda expensive, i donno if i can afford it... even the Corsair xms is kinda on top of my budget...
Or do u guys think Corsair Value will just be ok for OC-ing...

Thanks in advance

Thanks for ur replies.

I just wanted to know is there any performance loss between 5:4 and 1:1 fsb:ram ratios... i know theoreyically there is... but in real world can u notice any performance loss on 5:4 ?
