Memory for New Build

I plan on having the following built, when all decisions are made. I am afraid the build I
currently have in mind will not allow 12GB of cool RAM. The Corsair kit pictures seem to take over all slots for 6GB. Also, I read somewhere that there is a point where the new superspeed memory is just overkill as the cpu can't make use of it. Yes, I am confused. Help
