I'm running a P4 2.4C computer and using DDR 400. I'm planning to buy DDR2 800 for my conroe, are they a good fit for each other? I saw a special deal on a 2GB kit, an OCZ Gold DDR2 800 on Monarch for $200 and there's a rebate for $40 off on that too. I've been looking at prices on DDR2 800 for the past week, I'm wondering if this deal is too good to pass up? I don't like rebates, but this is so tempting. Should I hit it?

Will this be faster than the OCZ Gold? I notice that it has a timing of 5-5-5-10 compared to the Corsair's 5-5-5-12. Is there other intangibles that make the Corsair faster? After rebates, the Corsair is $3 cheaper so I guess it just the speed that's the deciding factor for me right now.
 
Oh snap! I just saw that Newegg has the same OCZ Gold I'm looking at for almost the same price. I think I might get it here if it's better than that Corsair that's posted here.
