Memory for Asus P5B-Deluxe

I'm planning on purchasing an Asus P5B-Deluxe motherboard and a Core 2 Duo E6300. I want to over-clock the processor to hopefully at least 3.5Ghz but i don't know what memory would be good for this. I've used Corsair in the past but if anyone can tell me about a good 2GB dual channel kit i'd be happy to try out something new if it will give me good performance. I don't want to spend more than 350 on the memory if it can be avioded and still hit the 3.5Ghz. Any help would be appreciated.

Edit: after looking around newegg i found some Crucial Ballistix DDR2 1000 ram that would be able to give me the target speed of 3.5Ghz but I don't know if they'll work with the motherboard. Can anyone answer this?

Those Crucial Ballistix will certainly do you well, but to be honest I think it's a hell of a lot more likely that your processor will top out before you reach the limits of the RAM. Ballistix 800 will do too because they use the same chips, and are hella easy to overclock, but 3.5Ghz on an E6300 is very, very ambitious. I'm not saying not possible but you'll want a great CPU cooler, northbridge cooling, and keep an eye on temps and voltages. 3.2Ghz on an E6300 was easy enough for me but past that it gets harder and harder. Besides, a 3.2Ghz is faster than an X6800 at stock 😀.
