Memory for Asus K8V Deluxe Socket 754?

I'm upgrading my system to an Athlon64 3000+ with Asus K8V along with a new Radeon 9700 Pro and I need some new RAM. My powersupply is a 430W Enermax whisper. I use a lot of photoshop and play games, so I need 1 gig.

The mobo has color coded slots for dual channel so I'm assuming I might as well buy a 'matched pair' of whatever type of RAM I buy...mwave.com has a matched pair listed for 2 dollars less than buying 2 singles anyway.

I don't plan on overclocking anything in the system. I understand that Crucial and Kingston both have lifetime guarantees now....

HOWEVER....I am very familiar with the attitude that "Yea, I can throw a turd in a box and mark it guaranteed and it will do exactly what it says."

I currently have been using Crucial for years now and have had two RMAs (which was actually not a bad experience.) I've heard that Kingston makes better RAM...

What RAM should I buy? Will HyperX 2x512 Kingston DDR400 suffice?

I can only vouch for what I have and NFS4, Kingston Hyperx PC3500 C2. $116 at newegg last I looked. I have run it at high as 220 mhz C2, and it works fine unless you are running graphics, then the Radeon 9700 pro doesn't like the AGP speed. (about 75)
