For a Athlon 64 3500+ what would you get?

1Gb DDR400 with 2.2.2.8 dual channel
or
2GB DDR400 with 3.3.3.7 dual channel

I can get the 2GB for about $130 more.

Go 1GB unless you do a ton of Photoshopping or other memory-intensive stuff. Get value RAM (CL2.5)--latencies or 1:1 when overclocking makes very little difference on the A64.

Just stick with 1Gb and if you are not overclocking there is no need for expensive RAM. Get yourself the cheap 1Gb 9512x2) you can find on newegg. I think the cheapest is Mushkin.

Yeah, it depends on what youre going to do with your system.I have the AMD 64 3500+ socket 939, and I got a gig of OCZ PC3200 platinum edition rev 2 ram, and my latencies are 2-2-2-5 and it's amazingly fast for my games.
