Memory Errors

2 months ago I bought x2 512MB DDR400 sticks of Kingston, I had them together with my existing x2 256MB DDR400 ADATA memory, all work in dual channel mode together.

When I got the new memory I checked it for errors and none were found.

After a month 1 stick of the 512MB kingston memory made errors and corrupted my files which made me format and replace that stick.

Now what I want to know is this, could the combination of x2 256MB ADATA and the x2 512MB Kingston made the kingston memory go bad and have errors? Should I just leave the ADATA memory out?

I rathar not do that since I want the 1.5GB

Thank you.
