I have got this message two times now.

EMM386 has detected error #á9 in an application at memory address 100F:00CD. To minimize the chance of data loss, EMM 386 has halted your computer. For more information, consult your documentation.

To restart your computer, press ENTER.

I have generic ram in my cpu that I believe could be causing this problem. Does anybody know what this error message means? Thank you.

and error in EMM386 indicates yes it is your "generic" ram and your trying to run it beyond its ability... Lower the fsb or Cas latency...
