Memory dual channel mode with integrated graphics?

Is it possible to enable dual channel mode when part of the memory is allocated to integrated graphics? Or does the asymmetry disable the dual channel mode?

I ask because I bought a AMD 5000+ (the 45nm AM2+ version) CPU that appears to have malfunctioning memory controller. The CPU works great when only 1 stick of 2gb memory is used, or 2 sticks placed on the same channel. However, whenever 2 sticks of memory are used in 2 channels, the system does not POST. I know the mobo and memory is good because it works with my other CPU. So I RMAed it with very detailed report of what I think is wrong. Today I got the RMAed packaged back. They sent me back the same CPU with the remark that it tested okay! Enclosed is the 'report' which is a screenshot of PCMark. In the screenshot, it identified the system memory as 1792MB and nothing listed under GFX. Does this prove that the tester did not try to enable dual channel?

I am gonna try this CPU on a another motherboard to be sure, but I think the retailer justed wasted more of my time. I am not a happy camper.

EDIT: After some more googling, it appears that some integrated graphics allow dual channel memory. I need to do more testing, but I fear this is gonna turn into an I say/you say scenario.

Are you trying to run your memory in 2 different banks? Because if you are, that's why it doesn't work and that's not how you get dual channel. There's nothing wrong with your cpu.

The way Asus labeled their memory banks are A1 B1 and A2 B2. To get dual channel, the memory would have to be installed into A1 and B1 or A2 and B2. If I install them into A1+A2, B1+B2, or A1+B2, it works in single channel mode. But A1+B1 or A2+B2, it doesn't POST. Anyways, I've decided to just keep it as is. I'm only using this CPU for HTPC rig that will only have 1 stick of 2gb. Not worth waiting another 3 weeks of RMA.
