Just wondering. I have put 2 different 512MB sticks in this board now, and both, when the memory count is displayed at boot time, showed 523200KB. Shouldn't it be higher than that - 524288KB, if I remember correctly.
The first time I saw this was after my computer spontaneously re-booted itself last weekend; when I continued booting into windows I got a bunch of memory errors, and further testing showed that the stick was bad, so I sent it back for an RMA, and bought another stick (still waiting for the RMA to come back; in the end I will have 2x512MB sticks). That second stick arrived today, and showed the exact same count when I plugged it in and booted up. Two dozen rounds with Microsoft's Windows Memory Diagnostic - the same test I ran on the old stick - showed no errors this time though, and Windows itself hasn't come up with any errors either.
Has anybody else seen this?
Nate
