I'm going to get memory that is better for OC. Should I get

Kingmax 512MB or Patriot 512MB Both 1 stick of 512MB

Or should I get PQI, Kingmax, or Geil All three are 2x256MB

They're all about the same price and are DDR500 PC4000.

I hope someone would have given you a more informed opinion. I am looking for some pc4000 (2x512) memory also.
Geil is cheap, but i have heard wayyy too many people having to RMA their's. A lot of people are selling Geil in the forums cus they had to RMA it and in the meantime they alreayd bought another memory, and now they are selling their new ones that they got.
So personally, I am skeptical as to run Geil. PQI and Patriot are supposedly good or get the job done. If I were you, I would try PQI or Patriot. Get the 2x256 and run them in dual channel rather than a single stick.

I am running Geil memory in the system in my sig. Absolutely no problems, great value RAM if you're willing to run the divider, they're not much for OC, but if you don't get the value version I don't see why it wouldn't be good. My personal experience anyway...

If you're going to be overclocking this system then I'm gonna assume you use it for something stressful other than everyday usage. On that note, I would highly reccomend going to 1GB of RAM.

I have both kingmax and PQI. The only problem I have with the kingmax is that it has horrible timings, like 3-5-5-10 or something like that and none of my motherboards even support timings that bad. The PQI is 3-4-4-8 so not as bad, and worked perfectly fine at DDR500, while I could only get the kingax to 245mhz FSB due to the horrible timings.

Why not go with a GB of value RAM. If you run a divider, it will probably have better performance, depending on the app...
