Hi,
I am holding off on a new computer for a little bit but in the meanwhile I was wondering if I could upgrade the memory on my current Dell. In Everest, it says that the supported memory types for my motherboard are DDR2-400 SDRAM, DDR2-533 SDRAM, DDR2-667 SDRAM, and the max memory amount is 4GB. If I were to buy 4GB (2x 2GB sticks) of either DDR2 800 or 1066 Ram, would they be able to work at 667 or would the computer not boot?

I also realize that I am on a 32-bit OS so not all of the memory would be recognized.

Thanks for your help.

Faster DDR2 will likely work, but you need to make certain that it is teh right voltage. You should pick out 1.8v memory, probably that operates at 5-5-5-15 timings.
