Hi,

Have the following board and memory installed at the moment:
GIGABYTE GA-P55A ( http://www.gigabyte.com/products/product-page.aspx?pid=3162#sp )
G.SKILL F3-10666CL7D-4GBECO ( http://www.gskill.com/en/product/f3-10666cl7d-4gbeco )

Memory (2x2GB) installed on 1st and 3rd slots on board, everything works fine.

Got a free set of memory (2x4GB) today so wanted to install those on 2nd and 4th slots. The new modules are: G.SKILL F3-12800CL9D-8GBXL ( http://www.gskill.com/en/product/f3-12800cl9d-8gbxl )

Differences between two sets:

Oldies: DDR3-1333 MHZ, CL7-7-7-21, 1.35v.
New ones: DDR3-1600 MHZ, CL9-9-9-24, 1.5v

Trying to get them working together but whenever I put them on together the screen would go black on boot, nothing to see. Any chance I get this PC running with 12GB of memory?

Thanks.

Update: Found the problem.... one of the dimms on my mobo is not working. So I put the 2x4GB on dual channel and put one of the 2GB sticks on another one. Cpu-z says it stills works as dual channel but dunno.

So you have 4GB on one channel and then 6 gigs of miss-matched on the other? I would just take the 2GB stick out. Your board might be downclocking the 1600 stick to match the 1333.
