memory compatibility question

Will PC2700 memory work in a board like this?

I don't plan on keeping this memory for long, but for budgetary reasons, I'd like to be able to use this ram for a couple weeks and then replace with DDR400.

well, if i knew that much about memory I wouldn't have asked the question.

Yes, the memory will work.
I dont know how much that board is or your budget, but a dual channel board would probably be of more benefit.
DDR400 on a single channel board that takes a 533fsb chip isn't going to be that much of a boost.

One other thing I couldn't find out...and maybe it's obvious...but what would be the fastest cpu I could eventually put in there? Any P4?

I would imagine that the fastest for that board is a 3.06ghz running @ 533fsb.

It'd need to support hyper-threading of course.

Thats the max you'd be able to upgrade to.
