Memory clock & Core clock?

So basically what the title says... what do those terms mean, &.. should I be pay much attention to them(or to one in particular), when choosing the graphic card that will be in my laptop?

Why couldn't you have asked that question in your other thread? I mean, there's nothing wrong with having multiple threads, but I think that it would help us to have the context of this question.
