memory choice for upgrade

i'm running a 3200 on a asus k8v se, with 512 of mushkin lvl 1 3500. but, i could never get the system to oc and be steady. so my question is, should i spend the 150$ for another 512, or should i just buy a gig of mushkin 3200 for the same price and sell this 3500 i have?
