Memory cards and that window that pops up.

I'll get to the point:

Everytime I insert a memory card into my computer, Windows automatically pops up a window (AutoPlay) of the directory of drive that card is under. I've tried to fix it so that it doesn't do that, but it still pops up the drive window when I put the same card in. Even happens on different cards.

I mainly don't want the pop up because I don't really want to open the directory when I need to backup a file or something.

I tried through the properties, but it still pops up the drive window. It's really annoying me, and I don't know where to turn, so I was wondering if anyone could help me. Thanks. If you need me to further explain or have a question, I'll try to answer.

If you are running Windows 2k or XP, you can turn off
AUTOPLAY by changing Group Policy.

Go to:
Start \ Run and type gpedit.msc

Navigate to:
Local Computer Policy \ Computer Configuration \ Administrative Templates \ System
and change "Turn off AutoPlay" to 'ENABLED'

This will still allow CD\DVD Auto Insert Notifications.
