memory card reader question

I have a Rosewill internal card reader... it displays four new drives. is this normal for any card readers or so only internal ones do this? do external readers always make multiple drives like this?

It'll display a new drive for each card slot it has, whether or not you have a card plugged into it. Like with your floppy drive. It's normal. You can reassign the drive letters like any other secondary drive, via Computer Management (Right click My Computer -> Manage) should you so desire.

so there's no way to hide them, eh? unless i connect my reader everytime i wanna stick in a stick

just paranoid clutter...

You can download registry tweaker and hide specific drive letters.

i can't believe i didn't think of this, but I used TweakUI!
