I am running a Athlon 64 3000 (939) on an Asus A8N-SLi board, with a single 512 stick of Corsair value RAM PC3200. I am currently running at 250x9, HTT of x4, and 2.5-4-4-8 1T at a divider of DDR333. (215 Mhz for RAM thus.) Processor is at 1.5 volts, memory at 2.8 volts.
Ever since I overclocked, my benchmarks have not shown any improvement. 3DMark's main score stayed the same even though the CPU score went up a full thousand points! I investigated, and found the culprit in the nTune benchmarks: the RAM scores are pitiful! I'm getting 200 read, 150 write, and 150 latency. That is almost half the baseline values! This is nullifying any advantage I gained from overclocking. Looking at my stats posted above, do you guys see any thing I have done wrong?
Also, odd things happen while booting on this A8N-SLi board:
1. It sometimes hangs when rebooting from Windows. But just rebooting.
2. Sometimes it turns on and there is no monitor signal. I hit escape on my keyboard when it does this, and it instantly shuts off! I turn it back on, and it is normal. This happens often, what is it doing?
3. Sometimes it turns on, and reports an error dring POST "due to CPU overclocking". If I enter and exit setup, it doesn't happen again.
The thing is, I have heard of every single on of these problems at least once from someone else, but have heard no solutions or causes.
