memory bandwidth comparison single core opty vs. dual core opty

why are memory bandwidth score so much lower on dual cores than single cores.

I was getting 7700/7600 with my 146 @ 10x292, and now I'm getting 7100/7000 with my 170 @ 9x300- both with the memory 1:1.

I would think the DDR600 would score higher in the bandwidth test??

can anyone else with a single core and dual core opty test this out??

yea...... I know the memory controller is on die, but I didn't think clock speed would be that huge in bandwidth with the 170 running DDR600 vs. DDR584 w/ the 146.

uhh... yes...
DDR 600 is wonderful, but with latencies like that, you are bound to come across such issues.
8 4 4 2.5, huh? Try lowering yourself to DDR 560 and adjust the timings to something better.

my point was that the latencies were the same for both benches. you are not going to get much tighter latencies at DDR580- DDR600 for the money I paid for my PDP.
