Memory and Asus mobo's

Just out of curiousity since I don't know. What is this 1T and 2T I am hearing when it comes to memory? I just read a post that says that the Asus SLI motherboards don't work with 1T or something?

"You will need to lossen your ram timings 2T and tras5 to start. The Sli boards can not handle 1T if you have more than one stick installed."

I dont know what 1T and 2T mean.
