Hi, WinXP pro...

i have 256MB of PC133 ram...

when i click on Memturbo, it indicates that i only 70 to 90mb of "Free Physical Memory" left.

is it normal?

I didn't do many thing heavy. Just IE. and the time i use memturbo, nothing is running in the background except icq.

thanks

Sounds about right, XP will be default use a good portion of your currently 'unused' memory as a system file cache. It will automatically shrink that cache as you need more memory. But, if you just look at physical available it will seem lower than you expect.

As an example, this system has 2gig of physical memory. XP is reporting 1.56gig used for the System Cache, but the truth is only about 491mb is currently in use. XP will reclaim memory from the 1.56gig as needed.
