Was looking at some photos from old trips of mine, thought these might be worth sharing. I went to Morocco about 10 years ago with an ex. Just us and two guide books (Lonely Planet and Rough Guide) and loose plans. Landed in Marrakech, stayed in a riad just a few minutes walk from the main square. Rented a car and we drove the route of the Kasbahs through Ourzazate and to the Sahara desert, where we took camels out into the desert and slept in a camp nestled among the dunes. Drove north from there through the mountains to Fez, hung out there, then back down the coast through Casablanca and down to El Jaidida, then back to Marrakech where we flew back home. We stayed in local hotels or in some cases just a room in some locals house, did zero tour groups and besides a guide we hired in Fez, just did it on our own. Canon 30D camera - a whole 8.2 Megapixels lol
I like taking photos that both play on patterns and colors, as well as just regular street photography that captures life as is. Every street shot was completely candid, nothing was planned. I llke the photos of the kids a lot. There are a few photographs from Turkey in here as well. I didn't take many photos in Turkey, at that point lugging around this big assed APS-C camera and the huge lenses just took away from the experience too much. A big reason I eventually switched to Micro 4/3 which I'll take on my next trip.
