memorial day weekend to LA -- suggestions on what to do down there?

title says it all, I've been to LA a few times, done the universal citywalk thing, getty museum, mana restaurant ...

suggestions for something a small group of us can do, nothing to expensive but can kill an afternoon?
 
go to Venice, Manhattan, or the Santa Monica Pier. Walk around Old Town Pasadena, the Grove, Hollywood & Highland. Or go to The Block or Irvine Spectrum.
