Its supposed to rain all weekend. I'm just trying to eat, although not hungry in the slightest, while the family has gone to see the latest superheroes movie. Force feeding myself some chicken noodle soup while I watch the gamecast of the royals/cards game.

I watched that for one episode, because I like westerns, justice, shit like that...but I think I'm done with the single-episode vaseline-filmed shows.

I was hoping it would be Justified (which I need to start watching again...from like, the first episode), or The Unit in the desert. but..nope. blech. :(

Of course I can't create this thread without thanking everyone who has served, is serving, or will be serving our country. This holiday wouldn't be without you. A huge thanks to you all. :beer;

This Holiday isn't about who is serving now, has served, or will serve. It is about who died while serving. Don't thank Veterans on Memorial Day, it's not for them.

Your weekend sounds about as exciting as mine! Try liquid yogurt smoothies, some of them are quite tasty and easy to get down.

Can you recommend a specific brand or flavor? I've never really been into smoothies and don't want to get something nasty. I don't like raspberry either.

There is absolutely nothing wrong with thanking a vet any day of the year.

I'll be celebrating my relatives who are vets with pulled pork and home-made coleslaw. And beer. And swimming.

Too bad we can't do fireworks.

So good so far! A little windy but still a great show today... A solid 5 hours of aircrafts! The highlight (for me personally) was the Brietling jet team. Unbelievable stuff. Being a team from France, they actually got to fly over the statue of liberty earlier this morning. Pretty cool... Looking forward to some pictures of that. Here's one I got:

I don't care for raspberry either but banana and peach are good,,quite good. I will get the brand name when I go to work, this brand has live cultures in it which can be helpful if you get GI upset or concerns about yeast infections during TX, plus at 230 calories for a modest size bottle it can help keep weight on and tastes better than Ensure.

I'm racing my BMX bike all weekend. Today I qualified for the UCI World Championships that are in Belgium this July. Looking forward to riding my bike in that part of the world.

Gonna cry for my father.
He lost a lot of friends in Vietnam and came back with a serious drinking problem.
It made him miserable he made me a sorry sick child with many issues.

Saturday, we busted out the big bbq grill and did 91 pounds of bbq chicken. Sunday, I drove my son down near NYC to pick up a boat that a friend of his wife's family gave him. It needs a bit of work, but he'll be able to get it running like new in a short amount of time (we hope.) The drive sucked though; left at 8am, got back home just before 10pm. And today, build a cinder block wall in the garage, went to the Amish and got a couple of 2x12-16.5' rough cut larch planks, and a 10 footer, to make a big raised bed for strawberries. Also, got the garden planted - a few dozen tomato plants, broccoli, cauliflower, peppers, beans, zucchini, yellow squash, pumpkin, onions, lettuce, maybe cabbage - I don't remember, some camomile in the spice area, moved some oregano because it was taking over the chives, cherry tomatoes, and a few other things.

Tomorrow, I'll fill the raised bed with 5 year old compost, and put the sill plate on the block wall.
