It should be 30 minutes sale. The scanner, CDR, PC camera were gone in 30 mins. The Memorex scanner is same as the one several weeks ago at staples.com, $19.99 after coupon and rebate. The people who got it said its quality is good.

This scanner is pretty good...I haven't tried the OCR software, but it's suprisingly well-made for a cheap scanner.

It doesn't have any buttons, but it performs pretty well.

Stonerdave,

what about the speed? And could someone also post the OCR quality?

Thanks in advance.

ok i tried it, it's pretty fast, especially for 10 bucks!! Haven't tried the OCR yet, will get back to u on that one. I live in southern Orange County in Cali and i went to the Staples in Lake Forest at 8:30 and everything was gone, then i went to the staples in Santa Margarita and they had shelves of everything still in stock, lucky for me

Thanks for the reply, but could you post some numbers? It's still on sale, and I'm wondering if it's worth it... I don't want to be waiting more than a minute for it to scan a photo at best quality. And what would you consider a good scanner if this one is cheap, stonerdave?

It is worth it. IMHO, the Canon 630U for $35 or less is the deal to keep watching. USB is great for scanners. The memorex is a great deal for $10...
