These products have identical specs, and both companies have good reputations for quality products. You can't go wrong either way.

Since the multiplier on an E2180 is high enough that you shouldn't have to overclock the memory, I doubt it makes any difference. I hear too many stories of Ballistix failing for me to want to buy it though. (Not that Crucial is a bad company, I have some of their RAM that's been great, I've just heard of a lot of Ballistix RMAs.)

I agree with DSF. I've used Crucial for years, and was going to go with the Ballistix deal JackMDS mentioned. However there seems to be a very high rate of problems with that specific RAM. I went with G-Skill FWIW.

As everyone has already said...either one is fine for what you want. 8x425 with these sticks should be easy at 5-5-5-15 2T, which will give you a nice OC to 3.4GHz.

I'm pleased with my g.skills. All my reading of the IP35-E before buying mine pointed me in the direction of J whatever certified 1.8v ram.
