They just gave up when choosing, having no creativity at all. Why not faceroll your entire screen name if you are going to be so lazy. Tis annoying to me

This username is from the 90s, back when numbers on the Internet were still totally trendy. Deal with it.

When making a screen name for AOL, I felt there was an element of accountability for comments to use a real name instead of a phony one.

But clearly, "Craig" was taken, as were "Craig1", "Craig123", etc., and the first available that I tried was "Craig234", so it stuck.
 
For about the first 5 years after selecting this name, perhaps it was a little TOO creative. Whenever I made a little footprint online, I had people from India, China, etc., seeking me out because I was apparently a doctor.
