Mem Recommendation for A64

Long story short I have the opportunity to ditch my PC-4000 RAM which has crappy timings @ PC-3200 for one of the two:
2x512MB Corsair XMS PC-3200LL --> 2-3-2
2x512MB Patriot w/Winbond BH-5 --> 2-2-2

The Corsair would be a straight trade, but I think I'll have to shell out some dough for the Patriot. Is it worth spending the money to get the BH-5? I don't plan on OCing for a while, not till I can get an nForce3 board and until I get bored with how peppy my system is right now. Any & all opinions would be appreciated. Thanks!

Also, am I not correct in assuming that moving from like 3-3-3 timings to 2-3-2 or 2-2-2 would be a decent improvement for an A64 due to the integrated mem controller? Thx

For gaming the difference in timings won't mean a thing for playability, even game benchies won't show much FPS wise. For some other tasks tighter timings can make a bigger difference though. If you plan to overclock at any point I should think the BH-5 is the way to go.

I would agree that the BH-5 is definitely best for OCing. Anyone have any input on performance differences for 2-2-2 vs 2-3-2 @ PC-3200, since that is where I will be running it the majority of the time.

You won't even be able to tell the difference with those timing, IOW sub 1% execpt for perhaps a rare exception.

Is BH-5 better than the TCCD for OC'ing?

Not specifically sure, but I would check the multiple AT articles using these diff types of RAM for their results.

bh-5 will hit much higher fsb at 2-2-2, but it requires very high voltage.
