I have a syncmaster 955df and foolishly used an LCD wipe on it and have dissolved some of the anti-glare coating in the upper right corner of the screen. Is there anything I can do to fix this?

note to self dont use lcd wipes on CRT's

ok um dam that suxs i dont think there is much u can do does it really bother u what does it look like?

Don't think there is much you can do. I would contact the maker of the monitor and ask if there is anyway to reapply anti-glare coating.

Thanks folks. I'll just live with it for now. Fortunately it is smallish (5-6 cm/sq)and not in center screen. Kinda surprised no warning on wipe like "DO NOT USE ON CRT!" Oh well..

It may just be some type of oil for an LCD plastic screen. It's a long shot, I know.

Maybe if you try some cleaner made for CRT's, it'll clean it off.
