Meltdown patch and battery life

I was just wondering if anyone else has noticed decreased battery life after installing Microsoft's Meltdown patch. My Lenovo Yoga Tab 2 used to be able to charge properly, but after the Meltdown patch, even after turning the brightness down to the next to lowest setting, I was still losing a charge despite just sitting at the Desktop. I eventually had to switch to a 5V 10A charger to be able to do anything with the tablet and let it charge since the 5.2V 2A charger could no longer effectively charge the device at idle.
 
You are not the only one. It is apparently a wide-spread, general condition caused by the patch, and fix is pending. Just Google "MS Meltdown patch" and you'll see the impact and what is being donw to fix it..
