And Trump launches the birds at Russia because Putin said something about his small hands, and murdering millions of people is the ultimate expression of the narcissism and sociopathy that were the themes of his campaign. And Putin tries to nuke the US but we intercept the missiles, so he nukes China instead. And China nukes India, and India nukes Pakistan, and North Korea nukes themselves.
So the US is unscathed, but it turns out that all those nukes going off aren't so good for the climate, and farmers can't grow crops so people eat their cats and their dogs, then start on each other and the last expression of the human race is a few survivors chasing each other around with AR-15s
