MegaRAID ATA-100 can't see 250GB?

You've got to be kidding me! Embedded RAID controller appears not to be able to do LBA. Nothing on their site says yes or no - no mention what-so-ever, which tells me it doesn't. Anyone have any suggestions?

That's a 5 year old controller that's so old that the company that originally made it has been bought out since. Why don't you try using something a little more recent?

It's EMBEDDED!

1U rack mount chassis doesn't make much room for lots of extra controller cards.

Turns out, it can read 250GB drive, when I boot from another drive. For some reason I can't get it running on it's own.

The entire MegaRaid line used to be produced by AMI which has since been bought out by LSI Logic. The add-in MegaRAID 100 was released in 2000, and according the documentation on LSI's site received full support for 48-bit LBA addressing in March of 2002.
