Got this today, been playing on normal mode. It's pretty good, controls and graphics are great. It has just the right balance of really frustrating at times but overall it's not too hard, not too easy. The variety of characters is good so far as well.

DS lite will probably be around a while, it's like portable gaming perfection. The DS is also supposed to interact with the Wii, so that should hint at a long life ahead of it. Mario Kart is a must have, free online gameplay is fun. New Super Mario bros. is also great if you really want to play something like that, the good 'ol side scrolling mario days, an excellent game. Advance wars is supposed to be great too, I'm waiting for it in the mail (got it off ebay).

New Super Mario Bros is a must buy for the DSL.

I'm not feeling the new Mega Man games. I have quite a few of the original Mega Man games for NES, SNES, and original GameBoy.

This is the first Mega Man I've played since snes I think...it's been a long time. The only thing I don't really like is the way the map works, having to go through the same area to get somewhere new. The action is still fast paced and it's easy to make a fatal move.

I think DS Lite will be around for at least the next 2 years. I ain't looking for Nintendo to pump out another handheld for at least that if not longer. Either way I been playing Kirby Carnvas Cure,Mario Kart,Mario Hoops 3 on 3 and a couple others I can't remember the name of right off.

All seem good. I like the ones that use the stylus alot.

I've been reading some reviews, and am definitely thinking about picking up ZX.

And not to hijack this thread, but if you're into Castlevania, do your best to find a copy of Dawn of Sorrow for the DS. Freakin awesome Castlevania action :D

New Super Mario Bros is really great, since I've tested out the demo.

Here is my take on this game.

I have been a fan of the X games and I do like the style of the Z games. This one definitely is a Z feel game. I am dissapointed that you are not in X mode for too long though and there is not the usual "steal powers" deal.

Battling doesnt seem too difficult but while the navigation through the whole entire game via going through the different "areas" can get to some people, i kind of dont mind it. It definitely allows backtracking and multiple chances to discover hidden elements of each area again.

Boss battles? heh.... Just let me get the pattern down and dodging timing right.... Maybe not down to the exact precision science but it needs to be pretty close. It can be easy within several well placed charged shots... Then again, i only gotten about midway-ish so far.

Speaking of midway-ish, gameplay up to the ship takeover was about 3 hours or so. if that givea anything to the length of play.

and as far as the different modes? I feel they are more for exploration, navigation, and utility verses actual boss usefulness. I always find myself reverting to the good ol ZX for boss battles.

Overall, I enjoyed the game! and my DS! I think I will take advantage of that Best Buy offer in ATHD....
