Mega Man 8-bit deathmatch

Has anyone else started playing this yet? So far I'm having some fun with it. Apparently, one guy made the whole thing, pretty impressive. You don't need Doom to play it since it's only using the engine and none of the copyrighted material from the game, so it's a standalone download. I'm a dyed-in-the-wool fan of both Mega Man and Doom, so it's a win-win for me

From the looks of the files this appears to be a SNES emulator that only runs one game, this one.

OK, when I ran it the thing was obviously a super modded Doom 2 engine. And loads of fun. You have to make sure you use the best weapon against a particular opponent. But other than that its pretty much just Doom 2 Deathmatch.

I remember Doom when I went from a 386-40 to a 486-100 and was like "woah"

Are you illiterate or something? You don't have to read much of the thread to know that you don't need Doom to play.
