Im almost certain she is praying one day you will join her at mass, just like all the other couples she sees there. But its up to you.

You would also be wrong, since she isn't Catholic and doesn't attend church.

I attended a Catholic mass about a month ago because it was my niece's first communion. I told my wife (the niece is on her side of the family) that I would not be doing that again.

My mom has been going to the same church since 1954 (St. Marys in Fort Worth). This is her 60th year of continuous devotion to the church out of 74 years. She rarely misses mass (in fact she is there right now as I type this message).

I dont go as often as she does, but I know we pray for a lot of things and had my assumption been correct that would be been something to pray for....a nice Catholic couple in church.

God bless. :)

Missing mass is a mortal sin. I hope you aren't receiving communion on the days you do go, unless you're more regular when it comes to confession. Confess or no bread for you!

God religion is funny.

Wait. I just took the Lord's name in vane. Now I'm going to hell too. Jesus Christ. Wait. Shit.

First, there is no Catholic pastors, there are Catholic priests.

Second, most Catholic churches / Priests will require you to be a member of the church.

Third, most churches require pre-marriage counseling at the church.

Divorce is part of life today and many churches will not penalize someone for doing that. If you had 3-4 marriages in a few years, some churches will tell you to go elsewhere.

Many churches understand young love and how someone may have gotten married at 18-20 something and then discovered they picked the wrong person.

Lot's of misconceptions above about Catholic masses...some churches are fun. St. Rita's in Wellington, Florida is a great church esp. for couples.

My fiancee and I are Catholics, we go to a 'christian' church now. ChristFellowShip (www.gochristfellowship.com). Lot's of music, talks about sexuality, kids have their own area to praise God and learn about religion, and child care for babies.

They have streaming service as well. We really enjoy.
