An 08 Buell XB12XT
My brother was in the market for a new bike and this came along. This is the first Buell i've seen much less ridden. Interesting bike. Fuel in the fat frame rail. Oil in the rear swingarm. Muffler slung under the engine. Belt drive. The engine shakes like crazy below 2500rpm and puts off a ton of heat. The frame I believe is aluminum so it sucks up all the heat and roast your thighs. Great power. I was cruising along at 80mph and 4500 rpm when I thought to myself, humm I wonder, click, yep I got one more gear. I'm used to my little gs500 and its 6 speed where i'm usually in 6th at 70mph.

It's a lot of bike for the $4250 he paid. Just over 10k miles

not many around me. When i was shopping for a bike, there was a guy trying very hard to sell his on CL. Enough to make me thing something is wrong with it. I opted for a SV650 and never gave this another thought.

Looks interesting so say the least. Hopefully there is a strong support for it in the aftermarket world.

Too bad Buell isn't around anymore. They definitely made some interesting bikes. I hear the aftermarket support is pretty stellar.

Like T2urtle I ended up with an Sv650s. I'm in the process of doing some touring mods to it. Later down the line I'll grab another true sports bike.
