With Thor becoming a woman and Captain America turning black maybe its time for Wonder Woman to be played by a Chinese man.

That costume does not make me think of Wonder Woman. Instead, I think from that picture she is a extra from the 300.

The more they release, the more this movie looks like a DC version of the Expendables except not as fun.

The problem with Wonder Woman's old costume was it is like "America! Fuck Yeah!" level of stupid. She is from a different planet, but shows up just to dress in a fucking American flag? Beyond silly, if you ask me.

Even with that said, this movie is DC, so it is going to be bad.

I think the movie makers are trying to be nice and give us a warning. She is dressed like a turd to foreshadow the quality of the movie.

I thought wonder woman uses a whip and not a sword. Where the hell is the colors?
After the 2011 relaunch of the character, it was revealed that Diana was the daughter of Zeus and Hippolyta[88] and that the bracelets are able to keep the powers she has inherited from Zeus in check.[97] In addition, Hephaestus has modified the bracelets to allow Wonder Woman the sorcerous ability to manifest a sword of grayish metal from each bracelet. Each sword, marked with a red star, takes shape from a flash of lightning, and when Wonder Woman is done with them, the swords disappear, supposedly, back into her bracelets. As such, she has produced no other weapons from the bracelets in this way.http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Wonder_Woman#cite_note-143

Diana has a sword, a shield, and a rope(Lasso of Truth). She's never had a whip.

Wonder Woman is from Themyscira, not another planet. Her powers come from Amazonian heritage and Greek gods.

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Themyscira_(DC_Comics)
Themyscira (pronounced Them-mes-skera) (About this sound pronunciation (help·info)) is a fictional island nation in the DC Comics universe that is the place of origin of Wonder Woman and her sister Amazons. Known as Paradise Island since Wonder Woman and the island's first appearance in All Star Comics #8 (December 1941), it was renamed "Themyscira" with the character's February 1987 relaunch in Wonder Woman (vol. 2) #1.[1] The island is named after the mythological city of Themiscyra, the capital of the Amazon tribe in Greek mythology.

Maybe she'll paint her outfit by the end of the movie, in honor of either the colors of the American flag or of Superman's outfit.

I quoted, I didn't repost. It's standard procedure to prevent ninja edits.

Reposting it almost 24 hrs later prevents nothing. Any edits made more than a couple of minutes after the post can be seen by the mods.

The footage, albeit short, was a fun watch. Great to hear all of the oohs and aahs from the crowd.

I've met Gal's (and Henry's) trainer and at the time he said he had a few months to basically make her eat as much as possible. I would still like to see a better state of fitness, but at least she doesn't look as much like a runway model in a costume.

ninja edits can only be done in the first couple of minutes. further, reporting quotes the post as it was at the time of reporting, so there's a record of it.

Thanks for the info! I didn't know that.

I really appreciate you being helpful instead of criticizing someone who is just trying to help.

Has this been brought up yet?

This is where most guys will remember Gal Gadot from:

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=-X_m8QxQGeE

She's a good looking woman, but not what I'd expect for Wonder Woman.

I immediately thought of Lucy Lawless, but she is too old. So is Carla Gugino, and she can actually act.

Gina Carano would be awesome if she were taller and could act.

A few people have suggested Lynn Collins, but I think she is late 30s now too.

Jill Wagner would've been a lot better. I still don't understand why she doesn't get work.

She's 5'8", and part of the costume are the heels to make WW as tall as the male superheros, it's been that way since the first comic and still is in the comics and animation. (put her in heels next to Tom Cruise and she IS an Amazon)

And she acts as well as any other female mentioned for the part.
Let's face it, it's about entertainment, not Oscar winning performances, right

She gets my vote.

oh..oh..all of a sudden Anti-Semitism isn't liked on Anand?

..except when Israel tries to protect itself from terrorists..then Anti-Semitism is embraced, right?
Lynda Carter did a pretty good job.

You seem to have difficulty distinguishing P&N from other forums - again.

She's not from a different planet, but pretty much this.

I'm pretty sure the costume choice was made partially because of the styling of the director and partially because the US of A ain't what it used to be, and when you're trying to sell to a global audience you might want to start distancing yourself from certain stupidity like the US of A.

That said, I think it was a horrible choice myself. There are certain iconic things you simply just don't fuck with. Do what they did with Superman and tone down or mute the color scheme a bit. You can change the colors and make it look a lot less star-spangley.

And yes... anyway... DC movie.
