Meet the Fockers is finally coming out

Just got back from seeing Bourne Supremacy, and they had a trailer for Meet the Fockers.

To clear things up, originally it was rumored to be spelled Fokkers because of the similarity to the swear, but it is, in fact, spelled Fockers. It is due out December 22nd, 2004. Here is the trailer. It will star Dustin Hoffman as Greg's father, and Barbara Streisand as his mother.

I can't wait, if it is anywhere near as funny as the first, it will be worth the price of admission.

Eh, I personally hated the original.

Not a big Ben Stiller fan, and the whole idea that this guy's name is Gaylord Focker seems like such uninspired humor that 10 year olds first learning the wonders of swearing would find funny.

potty humor never gets old!

Streisand in movie = me instantly reluctant to see it

The original was pretty great though, so I'm sure I'll see this one at some point.

Why does there always have to be one person who tries to assert their cultural superiority over the rest of us? I thought it was a great movie, and I haven't met anyone (until now) who didn't at least like it. It's nice to know someone's movie tastes are more sophisticated than mine.

Not "asserting my cultural superiority" but I thought the first one was really bad. I hardly laughed at all. Especially after I heard from everyone at work how riotous the movie was. Maybe I wasn't in the mood when I watched it. My wife thought it was terrible, too. And we've loved a lot of the same sort of comedies... To each their own.

I definitely am not trying to say my tastes are more sophisticated at all..just that this movie wasn't for me.

I'll have no problems admitting I looked forward to and really enjoyed White Chicks of all movies 😛
