Like the review said on the GeekBuying.com site, the Ubuntu stick boots really slowly. I let one of mine boot for 10 minutes, still nothing on the screen. Could get into the BIOS though.

Hybrid 32/64-bit UEFI, meaning, 64-bit CPU but only 32-bit UEFI. Linux Mint 17.2 MATE stock images can't boot on that, neither the 32-bit nor the 64-bit.

So I put Win10 32-bit Pro on there, using a USB stick.

Unfortunately, Win10 really only had the wifi drivers. There's no video driver (and no Display Device in Device Manager at all!), and no SD Card reader driver that I can see. (I put in a 32GB Samsung card, and it didn't show up. I guess I assume that they are pre-formatted FAT32 for Cameras?)

I'm really miffed about the lack of support for the Bay Trail CPU's IGP in Win10 32-bit. Seems like a major oversight. Unless they hacked the BIOS (Meego), to disable the ACPI entry for the IGP, so that Ubuntu would even boot on the thing. I dunno.

Anyways, if you are going to get one, get the Intel one, at the very least, it has SOME support, and driver downloads available.

I haven't found any driver downloads for Meego products on an English-language site.

Edit: New development. There's a site for this device, http://www.x86pad.com/

For Win10 32-bit installation drivers, see this thread:

Edit: All is not well with the MeegoPad T02. Despite the much-touted thermal engineering on the device, running a Skype video call, causes the CPU to throttle down to 0.24Ghz, slowly, over time. Despite overall CPU utilization only hitting around 30%.

Well, it seems that in Win10, Skype only causes it to throttle down to 0.49Ghz... if I'm web browsing at the same time (likely), that's when it throttles down to 0.24Ghz.

Anyways, I was finally able to get Linux Mint 17.2 64-bit MATE Edition installed on my other MeegoPad T02. I used the instructions found here:
https://plus.google.com/+IanMORRISON/posts/UNWdwRMqy3j

Scroll down into the comments section, there's someone with a different mfg's Z3735F device, that lists instructions on how to install Linux Mint.

Unfortunately, I don't have Audio support. Not the headphone / mic jack, NOR the HDMI audio out from the HDMI port, which is the standard Intel HDMI device. (Video output works fine, seems to be using the driver, as it's a lot faster scrolling and stuff than when I was running on the software driver in Win10.)

Linux display output and using Firefox (64-bit) seems slightly snappier than using Firefox (32-bit) on Win10 (32-bit).

Overall, I like it, but I need to get the HDMI audio output working, in order to use it for Skype.
