Medium rare steaks are disgusting

It makes the meat slimy and tough to chew. I don't like slimy, I want something substantial I can bite into.

I hate gooey, lifeless food in general and don't understand people who eat undercooked eggs.
 
You are crazy. Medium rare is the only way to go.

And the runny egg is awesome when it oozes into the other foods.
 
where are you getting "slimy" from a medium rare steak? time to eat at places other than Applebee's, bro

medium rare should be the MAX temp of eating a steak, with better steak places cooking it rare-plus for optimal taste goodness.........mouth........water.............
 
Don't know what kind of medium rare steaks you order but the one's I make, or order, melts in your mouth with yummy goodness. Enough texture to chew but melts in quick order so you can finish your steak w/o developing TMJ issues.
 
OP is right, medium rare steaks are disgusting. Anything past rare is overcooked.

I agree on undercooked eggs as well. Over hard is the way to go unless it is on a burger. Then Medium is okay.

really, though, idk where you're getting the visual of rare steak being liquid. it's not like we're talking about steak tartare.
 
if medium rare is tough for you to chew, how the hell do you eat it well done? it must be hard as a rock to you.

Personally I feel the same as OP. I do like the steak Medium/Well though.

On running eggs though, that I love. Nothing like easy over egg on cast iron > toasted muffins.
