Hello,
I have been a lurker for a long time mostly because I usually didnt have anything to comment on in hardware. os. etc and didnt want to risk doing it in off topic/p&n =)

I am building a computer for my family (first time build). I would like your opinion. I was shopping around a few days ago I found deals at a few locations but today while i was finalizing my choices all them seem to come from newegg which works out since i heard they are good and fast with shipping.

Here is my build:

1. get another case.
2. even though that psu might power up the computer, i'd get something in the 500+ range.
3. the new standard in resolution is 1680x1050 or 1600x1200, pls view my native resolution thread in video

Change that to a Seasonic 600. 500 at least. You don't wanna have to throw that 430 out in a year because of a graphics card. The 430 is a nice PSU and so are all Seasonics, and it would be a terrible waste to have to throw a Seasonic out >.<

Otherwise, everything looksg ood.

I would get a better case and beef up the PSU to at least 500W. Otherwise it looks like a really good build. Enjoy it and welcome to AT.

Sounds like overkill for a family PC but for something you want to last a few years I think those are pretty good choices.

thanks for the input guys...looks like the psu definitely has to be swapped out...
The Seasonic seems to be around $30 more are there any other brands that you would recommend that are a bit cheaper but similar performance...also do i need eps12v psu for another $10 more? Not sure what eps is...
