medium-grade card with tv-in

Looking to put a vc in my new setup. P4-2.53, Asus P4PE Mobo, 512 of 2700, random peripherals.

I'm not a hardcore gamer, but I appreciate decent quality graphics for when I do plug something in. Nothing near as demanding as a Quake, etc.

I am also going to turn one HDD into a PVR, and will thus need something with a coax in for the cable. guess I'm looking at something like this?

if anyone has any ideas for something similar or a better suggestion, please let me know.

You can find the 8500DV for dirt cheap now... I have one and it's nice. The analog tuner in the 7500 may be smoother, but the features of the 8500DV more than make up for it.

From what I have read, the 8500DV is not a good performer compared to the 8500 AIW. It does have the firewire though, but I would take the better performing card.

Forget the ATI... go get yourself a LeadTek TV2000 Deluxe... for $52...!!! It has a TV Tuner, FM Tuner, IR Remote and the software is MUCH better than ATI's.. It will capture in 720 x 480 30fps on an XP1700 and use 70% cpu... Also it is a separate card from your gaming card... which is preferred...

preferred by whom and for what reason? Appreciate the comment...i was looking at the separate tv card, but figured since I'm not going to be using my vid card for gaming that frequently that I'd just get a combo. but obviously open to your advice/comments.
