GF plays the game on her 128mb 9800pro just fine. Not sure what graphic settings she uses, but I know she runs @ 1024x768. I'd imagine unless you need 1600x1400 with 16AA and all that eye candy maxed a x800 would be fine.

I'm not going to download the game because I have no intrest in playing it but I did find this on a nother site:

Below we have a look at what each setting looks like when running. To give you an idea of what kind of visual experience you'll get, our mid-range system (P4 3Ghz, 1GB RAM, 7600 GT) was able to manage on the medium settings on a 1280x1024 resolution. To achieve the top settings though you'll need a pretty high end rig - we had one (FX 57, 2GB RAM, X1900XT) that coped adequately with no slow down).

At that resolution with all settings maxed out, my 7800GT struggles, so I would say no.

My X1950PRO E6400 pulls off 1280x960 4AA and other details on High no problem. It's OC'd though to 627MHz core / 790MHz memory and the e6400 to 3.2ghz.

I'm playing it on the rig in sig. It looks great at everything set to high. Make sure you got lotsa hd space this puppy ways in at 11Gb reccomendation. I think a clean install is more like 9Gb though. Remember when a 1Gb game was massive? times have changed.

You probably have all the lighting, shadows, and other graphics options on. It will play just fine on many lesser cards with the pretty effects off.

lol - I remember when Mechwarrior II, a full install was almost half a gig... and Microsoft or Micropose whoever helped make the game at the time had in summar:

"take this huge install of 500mb and play the game smoother... videos will look great!"

- played this on an AMD K6-2 333MHz with an integrated 4MB SiS shared graphics adapter. I tried playing Final Fantasy 8 on it... Terrible! I went to upgrade it from a 32mb PCI Radeon 7000, then went to a Geforce 2 MX with 64megs of memory, I was pleased, but it still wasn't fast enough to run seriously Alien VS Predator 2.
-my hard drive was like 4GB... lol, I installed Diablo 2 on this machine with great hesitation, it ran horribly. oh the days of HP computers and Windows 98_yay!
