Medieval 2: TW or Civilization 4?

Depends on the mood at the time. They are both excellent games.

what Batelaur said. If you want the option of extended, tactical combat then TW is the way too go. If you want the ability to steer your destiny based on technology then Civ is the way to go. Personally, I tend to go the route of Civ more often as the play just seems more dynamic.

Medieval 2 hands down. Civ 4 is fun, but the ALL turn-based is not really my thing. That, and it's a bit complicated for me, me stupid. Medieval is simpler and the fighting is the best. Nothing is more satisfying than breaching an enemy wall, loading them up with bowmen and peppering over a thousand troops counter attacking through narrow streets. That is, until I bring up my ribaults and cannons...
